Service Technician Program (STP) - Basics of Plumbing

This course introduces the fundamentals of plumbing for apartment communities, covering key concepts essential for maintenance teams. Participants will learn basic plumbing terminology, safety practices, and the fundamentals of residential plumbing systems. The module also explores water delivery, common industry materials, and proper use of tools and equipment for service repairs.
At the end of this module:
- You will be familiar with basic plumbing terminology.
- You will be aware of and understand plumbing safety.
- You will understand the fundamentals of residential plumbing.
- You will be able to identify how water is delivered to a community.
- You will recognize materials used in your industry.
- You will be aware of workplace safety measures.
- You will be able to use tools and equipment for service repairs.
This is a hands-on class, and participants will work directly with appliances to gain practical experience.
