2023 EPA/CFC Re-Tests

Students who failed sections of the exam may retake those sections. Please note: Test takers must achieve a passing score on the CORE section in order to receive a certification.

Test Details: Tests will be administered online with ProctorU. Students will receive test codes and instructions once their registration is paid in full. You will then be able to schedule your examination. Please keep in mind, you must schedule your examination at least 72 hours in advance.

Test Format:

Section 1: Environmental issues surrounding the impact of Class I and II refrigerants

Section 2: Systems with less than 5 pounds of refrigerant (Type I certification)

Section 3: High-pressure refrigerant such as HCFC 22 including: split-system air conditioners (Type II certification)

Section 4: Systems that use a low-pressure refrigerant such as CFC11 (Type III certification)

Re-Testing Requirement:  Students may be required to provide proof of previous scores to re-test if you have not done testing through IAA.
