CPO - Certified Pool Operator Course
Class Dates: February 28 & March 1
All classes run each day from 9:00am - 5:00pm EST.
This class is held via Zoom.
The CPO is recognized worldwide as the leading training standard in the swimming pool industry. Participants are trained in the most advanced techniques of chemical treatment, filtration, and mechanical system operation and maintenance. Course content will be geared directly towards state and local codes and focus on the unique challenges facing aquatic facility operation at apartment communities.
Learning Objectives / Outcomes:
- Participants will learn the codes, standards, regulations and best practices for swimming pools operated in the state of Indiana.
- Participants will apply scientifically supported principles to their swimming pool operations, helping them run safer and cleaner facilities.
- Operators will learn to advance their bottom line through efficient and effective techniques.
After successfully completing the written examination, operators will receive certification and registration as a Pool / Spa Operator valid for five years.
This course is offered through the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) and led by Aquatic Council, LLC.
Tim Auerhahn is a five-time recipient of the Distinguished Instructor Award issued by the World Aquatic Health Conference. Since 2015 he has certified more operators worldwide than any other instructor.
As an alumnus of The Ohio State University (B.S. Sports Management, M.S. Strategic Leadership), Tim has served in various operations, education, risk-management and leadership capacities with nationally recognized brands, athletic facilities and universities.
