Do you have questions about the latest HUD changes on Emotional Support Animals? Ask Fair Housing Attorney Leslie Tucker your questions in this timely, practical webinar.

HUD’s recent guidance marks a significant shift in how Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are treated at the Federal level under the Federal Fair Housing Act. In this quick-hit session, Leslie Tucker will break down what’s changed, what hasn’t, and what it means for apartment owners, operators, and onsite teams.

We’ll cover key takeaways from the new guidance, including ongoing regulation (including state laws and litigation), how it differs from ADA standards, considerations for existing ESA approvals, and practical insights to help you navigate policy decisions moving forward. Come prepared with your questions and leave with clarity on this evolving and complex issue.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand what laws still apply and must be followed at the state level regarding ESA's
  • Learn how HUD's new guidance does and does not effect policy decisions at the property
