This class is offered in person at APCO Supply (8119 Zionsville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46268).

This class will cover the fundamentals of A/C repair, focusing on the new R-454B and R-32 units. After attending this comprehensive troubleshooting overview, maintenance professionals will be better prepared to face the summer A/C season.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn correct diagnostic techniques that can be implemented immediately.
  • Discover how to troubleshoot failed components and prevent repeat failures.
  • Understand proper charging techniques using drop-in refrigerants.
  • Learn how to use superheat and subcooling charging methods correctly.
  • Acquire knowledge regarding the regulatory changes that were enacted January 1, 2026, as it pertains to the R-454B and R-32 units.

Chris Boerner

 

Chris Boerner has more than 34 years of maintenance experience. Starting as a maintenance supervisor, a position he held for 13 years, to becoming an outside rep for various maintenance supply companies in the Indy market, Chris has the knowledge and experience needed to train all levels of maintenance. He has a degree in HVAC and has taught numerous classes for the Indiana Apartment Association throughout the years. He is CAM- and CAMT-certified and holds an Indiana Realtor's License.
