Section 8

The Indiana Apartment Association offers training annually for leasing and management professionals on changes to rules and guidelines for Section 8 of the United States Housing Act. These classes, taught by seasoned multifamily housing professionals, helps those responsible for calculating rent through Section 8 in the State of Indiana.

Be sure to sign up for one, or all of the classes so you can stay current with changes to the law.

Property-Based Section 8

Join the Indiana Apartment Association July 19, 2011, for a two-part Informative Look into the Section 8 Guidelines:

  • Part I of this Section 8 seminar will instruct the basics of the Section 8 program. Class participants will learn application requirements for the program, verification and recertification requirements. Recommended for industry professionals responsible to calculate or are learning to calculate Section 8 rents.
  • Part II will expand on the above information and also cover the basics of how to calculate Section 8 rents, Housing Assistance Payment Voucher requirements and the latest HUD 4350.3 changes. Recommended for those responsible to calculate or audit Section 8 rents and/or professionals interested in a refresher seminar.

Resident-Based Section 8

The purpose of this seminar is to give you a clearer understanding about Housing Choice Vouchers. You will learn what to do from move in to move out and everything in between to ensure you are in compliance. Proper recordkeeping techniques will be a key component to this seminar. If you deal with Housing Choice Vouchers and are confused regarding all of the paperwork you are required to do, then this seminar is for you.
