IAA will play host to the Third Annual Reverse Trade Show on March 8, 2012, to raise money for the National Apartment Association Political Action Committee. This is a fast-paced, highly effective, networking opportunity between Associate and Direct members. It is a highly effective association business networking event that allows you the opportunity to meet one on one with owners and decision makers from property management companies. The event gives vendors the opportunity to have immediate contact with buyers from management companies representing more than 65,000 units across the state.

While the proceeds from the event benefit the National Apartment Association Political Action Committee, a portion of the money will come back to the Indiana Multi Family Housing Political Action Committee to spend on Indiana Members of Congress.

IMFHPAC is IAA's nonpartisan political action committee that invests in candidates who are supportive of industry issues and are pro-business legislators. These funds aid in the election of candidates whose legislative voting records and/or positions on multifamily issues will enhance the business climate in Indiana. The IMFHPAC enables corporations and individuals to pool their political contributions and support candidates which help further IAA’s legislative objectives. A collective effort allows for visibility and access to candidates.

IAA also conducts a silent auction so that Associate members can bid on dinner or lunch with decision makers from the management companies. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the IAA PAC.

The 2012 event will take place at the Marriott East Hotel in Indianapolis. Here is how the Reverse Trade Show works:

  • 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm: Cocktail reception with owner/management participants.
  • 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Owners/management executives are seated at tables and vendors have an opportunity to meet with these decision makers in eight-minute intervals over the two hour session. Initial appointments are set by IAA, but subsequent visits are at the discretion of the Associate members.

Contact Mark Conover at 317-816-8900 or mark@iaaonline.net to register for the event today. Spots are limited, so don't delay.
