Community Website

Entries must be a resident retention program for a specific apartment community. Judged on: creativity of the program, implementation of the program, resident retention rate, overall success of the program and how the program increased your bottom line.

Entries can include any idea with the potential for industry impact. Examples: an innovation in floor plan design, innovative community or corporate program, innovation in marketing, training or maintenance or technological innovation. You may submit an entry which has also been submitted in a different category. Judged on the potential benefit or impact on the apartment industry.
Include:
- A Word document that is one page in length and provides detailed information on the concept and execution of the innovation as well as the benefit provided by the innovation

Apartment Designed for the Physically Challenged
Entries must be an individual apartment or floor plan designed specifically to meet the needs of the physically challenged. Judged on overall design, use of space, aesthetics, services offered and other criteria as required by code.

- Up to 10 digital photographs - crisp and clear – of the apartment only

Apartment Community Designed for Project-Based Rent Subsidy
Entries must be an apartment community that has at least 80% rent subsidy through either the Department of HUD or a state regulatory agency. Judged on overall design, use of space, aesthetics and other architectural details.

- Up to 10 digital photographs - crisp and clear – of the apartment community
- Up to five PDF supporting pieces including a floor plan

Apartment Community Designed for Tax Credit Affordable Housing
Entries must be an apartment community that has at least 50% of the units set aside for income eligible residents. Judged on overall design, use of space, aesthetics and other architectural details.

- Up to five PDF supporting pieces including a floor plan

Entries must include community service programs that involve the greater community and surrounding areas beyond the confines of the specific apartment community. This category does not include programs that only benefit the apartment community itself and its residents. Judged on involvement with the local public community and the positive overall impact on society.

- A Word document that is one page in length and provides a detailed description of the program and proves a successful outcome
- Up to 10 digital photographs - crisp and clear – of the program only
- Up to 10 PDF supporting pieces providing quantitative data proving overall success of the program such as number of participants, benefit provided, amount raised, etc.

Corporate Suite Program
Entries must be a corporate suite program designed for and benefitting a specific apartment community. Judged on marketing strategy, overall program design, services offered, implementation and results.

- Up to five PDF supporting pieces providing quantitative data proving overall success of the program and highlighting the marketing materials

Entries must be an apartment community that has undergone some level of renovation. Judged on overall design and execution of the renovation project.

- Up to 10 digital photographs - crisp and clear – interior and exterior photographs depicting before and after the renovation occurred

Independent Owner Property
Entries must include companies or individuals owning 50 or fewer units. Judged on appearance of building and grounds, use of space, and overall success.

- A Word document that is one page in length and provides a detailed description of the landscaping and exterior signage of the community. Include specific information on the effectiveness of the landscaping as well as the signage and how curb appeal has helped the overall success of the community.
- Up to 10 digital photographs - crisp and clear – of the exterior curb appeal only. Label each photograph with information as to what is being shown and where it is located. If applicable, also include the location taken such as the main entrance or the clubhouse. Describe each photograph explaining how it enhances the overall curb appeal of the community.
