The three-member team from Van Rooy Properties, which swept the awards in Indianapolis, were crowned champions during the NAA National Maintenance Mania Competition in New Orleans. David Garcia finished first with an overall time of under 2.06 minutes. The three competed with 20 finalists from around the country and beat out 3,000 competitors nationwide to make it to the finals. The team's win is unprecedented as it is the first time one company has swept the awards. This was also the first time that David Garcia and Enrique Alarcon, who finished third, competed at the national level. Herb Harr, who placed second, has now competed in four national championships. He has won the nationals, placed second twice, and third once.
