Awards of Excellence Winners
During the President's Dinner on the final day of the annual Midwest Multifamily Conference, the Indiana Apartment Association hands out individual awards to our members in several categories. The convention will be October 23-24, 2013.

Below, you will find the descriptions of each category for the Awards of Excellence. Click on the category title for an entry form.
Established in 1982, this award recognizes excellence in on-site performance. To be eligible to win, a nominee must be a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designate in good standing with NAA or be in the final stages of the CAM class. He/she must be actively involved in the Indiana Apartment Association or an affiliate chapter during the past 12 months. Judging will be based on the nominee's performance in marketing his/her community, administrative and financial responsibility, team spirit and association involvement.
Established in 2012, this award recognizes excellence in onsite performance. Nominees will be judged on the performance of their management and administrative skills, team spirit and association involvement.
As a category established in 2001, this award recognizes excellence in on-site performance. This award was renamed in 2006 in memory of Alberto Covarrubias, who had been a dedicated maintenance supervisor with Barrett & Stokely Management Company for 17 years. To be eligible, a nominee must have been a maintenance supervisor for more than two years. Nominees will be judged on the performance of their maintenance skills, administrative and financial responsibilities, leadership abilities and association involvement.
This award recognizes the unique contribution of maintenance technicians. Judging will be based on direct performance of job responsibilities, experience level in general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, etc., and specific training. The CAMT designation is not required.
Established in 1994, this award recognizes a leasing consultant for his/her outstanding performance in leasing. Candidates will be judged on closing performance, customer service, presentation and telephone techniques.
This award was established in 1998 to recognize individuals who manage multiple properties. Judging will be based on the nominee’s performance in managing multiple properties along with marketing, administrative and financial responsibilities, leadership abilities and association involvement. This award was renamed in 2009 in honor of Rick Stapp with Van Rooy Properties.
Established in 1994, this award recognizes an outstanding vendor member company. Companies are judged on contributions to the industry, customer service, participation and support to IAA.
Established in 1995, this award recognizes an associate member individual. Candidates will be judged on participation in IAA, as well as contributions to the multifamily industry and community.
